Feel good beauty: miss a offers beauty products that give back

In 2017, we launched a #feelgood initiative where a portion of proceeds go towards organizations making a difference in the world.

Chief Creative Officer, Jean Baik, alongside husband Kenneth Baik, wanted to find a way to give back and make a positive impact. The Paw Paw Wonder Blender beauty sponge was the brand’s first endeavor with their give back initiative, and is now one of MISS A’s top selling products. The Paw Paw Wonder Blender is priced at $1.55 and part of the proceeds from sales goes towards helping animal rescue shelters and organizations in the brand’s hometown of Dallas, Texas. Now the Paw Paw Charity line consists of 30+ products that are each available for $1.55.

We saw such a positive response from the launch of the Paw Paw collection. Our customers love to know that their purchase is going towards something good and making a difference. Based on the success of this collection we decided to launch two other initiatives, including RE-USE and A+, and hope to continue on this path. We want to make a business that really matters, and not just about beauty.

The RE-USE collection aims to stop the usage of single use plastics, featuring re-useable grocery bags and metal straws priced at $1.33 each. Proceeds from this line are donated to organizations that help clean up oceans, fight climate change, and wildlife conservation. Proceeds from the A+ collection, which features MISS A’s best-selling liquid foundation, face sprays and more, are donated to organizations that support children’s education worldwide. Through this collection, MISS A was able to help build a school in Iraq for children who don’t have access to education, as well as donate to local schools in Dallas where students need school supplies.
